THe Cocky Me ( Part 2 of the Old Cock series)

I remember when I first learned to crow

I crowed and crowed and crowed

Hey people take stock

See  and hear me The Cock

Why were the hen not taking notice of me

So I jumped up on a branch of a tree

To flap my wings and  crow

Listen to me crow old cock

Listen to me owl

Listen to me sparrows, hawks, eagles and  fowls

Listen to me crow

Or the sun will not rise

Nor will it set

Will there be tomorrow

If I do not crow

I thought it was confidence

I thought it was wisdom

I thought it was classy

I thought it was clever

I thought it was equality

But now I know

I was just plain cocky
