The misguided jihadis

Note; A chapter from a  forthcoming book “Islam is Simple – reverting to the religion of Abraham’

I am writing this onboard the train bound for London Waterloo. Thee train Guard has just announced that the London Waterloo Underground has just been evacuated because of a fire alert.

Another terrorist threat?

Can you imagine riding your daily commuter train and boom it explodes just like the one in Bombay and Madrid and Egdware Road? Can you imagine the rage if my name appears in the papers as one of the innocent victims? These are misguided jihadis. Can you blame the British public for being cynical about anything Asian, anything Muslim and anything Arabic.

In the midst of all these it is refreshing to read about Sir Ghulam Noon, the self made Indian Curry King. I read about him  in the Guardian just two days ago. Having been aware of  his philantropical and social activities I for one believe that he deserves to be in the next peerage list. It is unfortunate that he is a subject of an ongoing investigation on the Labour government  “peerage for donations scandal”.  The political reality is such that there would be people capitalising on political, religious or racial issues.

He is refreshing because as a well known British Muslim, he condemns the BRITISH Jihadis. He believes in assimilation. He advocates the principle of Ulul Amri, being obedient to the law of the Land, which the Quran specifically commands all beings. He is against the ghetto mentality of British Muslims. He is against the loss of human capital, young minds being poisoned by fiery sermons of Imams of the subcontinent and Wahabis.

By enlarge, Muslims from the subcontinent make up the majority of British Muslims. These are the people who lost an empire. From being the ruling class they become “wallahs” subservient to the sahibs. They are the products of Kashmir, Afghanistan and the exodus to Pakistan. They see the non-Muslims as enemies as robbers, having robbed their throne.

In Malaysia, I remember those Kaboolis, Bengalis and Malbaris, selling carpets and textiles. Now I understand the militant nature of their homeland and the innocent Malays accept them as Malays. They are a stark contrast   to the Muslims of the
Malay Archipelago with its history of tolerance and coexistence. With such militant background, there have been attempts to hijack the peaceful nature of Islam in the Far East by these new Malays.

Venting out frustrations by blowing innocent victims do not earn you a place in heaven and do not do any favor to Islam. You are but a loser. At best you fulfill the grand political design of the political Islamists.

Reading the Western Press  often the justification of Jihadis  quoted, is the promise of 40 virgins in paradise .  I find such justification revolting. I have not come across any verse in the Quran making such promises.  If it is said that it is the hadith that says such thing, I say  it is not Quran compliant, period.

In the Quran the rule of engagement for war is very clear.  ”Allah does not forbid you from being good to those who have not fought you over religion or driven you from your home”  (Al Hujurat verse 13)

Even if these are fulfilled, you do not blow up innocent victims, people doing their daily chores, people not at war, and people not in the war zone.

Again in Surah al Hajj (22: 39 and 40)  To those against whom war is made, permission is given (to fight), because they are wronged, oppressed and verily, Allah is most powerful for their aid Those who have been expelled from their homes in defiance of right,- (for no cause) except that they say, “our Lord is Allah”. Did not Allah check one set of people by means of another, there would surely have been pulled down monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, in which the name of Allah is commemorated in abundant measure. Allah will certainly aid those who aid his (cause) for verily Allah is full of Strength, Exalted in Might, (able to enforce His Will)”

Otherwise do not call your war an Islamic War,  A Crusade, or for whatever religious  and whatever religion.  It is but  war of greed, exploitations  and ignorance.

In a country which has been more Islamic then their homeland, a country that allows them to practice their religion and their culture, a country where the rule of law is supreme, the British jihadis are but exploited, misguided, misinformed zealots.

I am thankful to God that the closure of the train station is just a precautionary measure. I am ready to continue with my journey.
