KONSEP TA’AT DIDALAM ALQURAN seperti yang Saya Fahami

KONSEP TAAT atau TO’AT Didalam ALQURAN

Surah al-Nisa’ ayat 59 :-

KUASA olih PENGUASA

PERINTAH yang dikeluarkan

Tindakan AKUR  olih pengikut

The only statement of the [true] believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them is that they say, “We hear and we obey.” And those are the successful.

And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger and fears Allah and is conscious of Him – it is those who are the attainers.

And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths that if you ordered them, they would go forth [in Allah ‘s cause]. Say, “Do not swear. [Such] obedience is known. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with that which you do.”

Bersyukurlah, tapi tahukah kamu bersyukur?

December 12, 2010

in gratitude

March 23, 2010

I count my blessings
Not the misgivings that befallen me
I treasure the things i get
Not lament the things i do not get
nor the things others get

I remember the faces of friends as if they were close
And Enemies,
keep them closer they say
but i rather keep them away

I cherish the smiles and happiness
Not the tears, frowning and sadness

I could feel the warmth of the hugs and the kisses
I am numb to the frost the frigid stare
make me numb to the pain, if ever it hurts

Open up my heart my Lord
To forgive and to forget
For i want to be free
For i want to be kind to my heart

I am thankful O Lord
For-my heart is not burdened
For letting my heart glow
For setting my heart free

The good things i do
The charity i give
I expect no return my Lord
i hold no one at ransom
I do it in your name
i do in gratitude
make it absolute my Lord

The things i do, plant and invest in
I do in submission to your will
make it absolute my Lord

For The vices i did my Lord
Forgive me

esham, why are you not teaching your children religion?

December 25, 2009

“Why are you not teaching your children agama?” I could sense how concern she was. It was in her eyes and her face.

“Make me a promise, that you will get an ustaz to teach them. I know you will not be able to teach them”.

“Look at B and look at D, look at their children. How pious they are! Look at adam, look at S, look at A and look at N.”

“Emak, I teach my children religion”.

“mananya?” sarcasm in the most subtle form as only emak can administer

“I teach religion everyday, every minute. I teach them that all promises are to be honored, i teach them to care for parents, I demonstrate to them to be fair in business dealing and in measurement, I showed them the kambings and ayam that practice free sex, I tell them about jenahak and senohong and gelama and ikan duri, “mula-mula cakap bohong lama-lama mencuri”, i teach them to value life, play hard work hard, i demonstrate to them to care for the less fortunate, to protect their kin”

” I admit though that their Solat have been lax. Do you want to communicate directly with God? Why don’t you invoke that super power? Go and speak to God? that’s how I get them excited about solat. Little success so far, but I am sure they will need to have that access to God.”

” I admit though I have not been teaching them much adat or traditions or rituals”

” Look at PM, when he died the children could not even recite the Quran for him” she pounded further

Ouch…

“but emak, I teach them how to find the One God. Go observe and feel the  power and presence of God around you. Go and travel the world to find God”

I agree they need to discover the Quran, the Book, the Revelations. They need to know to read the Compass.

Ustaz? mmmmmm

Fasting, abstinance, self restraint

August 22, 2009

Today isthe first day of Ramadan. The following is an extract ofthe translation (almost ad verbatim) of the Quran on the subject of Fasting (Yusuf Ali). Fasting has been decreed by God in earlier scriptures. Fasting is therefore not just  an instruction for Muslims but for all mankind. It is about self restraint, about being near to God and about glorifying Him.

Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you may learn self restraint.

Fasting is for a fixed number of days, but if you are ill or on a journey the prescribed number should be made up in later days.

For those who are with hardship, there is a ransom, the feeding of one that is indigent, but if you want to give more at your own free will it is better for you.

It is better for you if you fast if you only knew.

Ramadan is the month in which was sent down the Quran as a guide to mankind. It also contains  clear signs for guidance and judgement. So everyone of you who is present in his home during that month should spend it in fasting. Again, if you are ill or on a journey the prescribed period should be made up in later days.

God intends every facility for you . He does not want to put you to difficulties. He wants you to complete the prescribed period and to glorify Him, in that He has guided you and perchance you shall be grateful.

AIRASIA X, Middle Management – can be the worst culprit in any transformation

June 27, 2009

I attended a hitea talk by the CEO of AIRASIA X hosted by the Malaysian Gas Association.. He is certainly a good pitcher. There are tens of management concepts that he utilizes and I personally find him to be a smart and energetic young man. AIR ASIA concept consume a lot of energy. The energy of the CEO. The future of AIR ASIA I commented will depend on the energy of Tony and Azahan.

We are in the same business I quipped, the ENERGY business.

One point he made, that the middle management can be the worst culprit in any organizational transformation. I fully agree.

It is more difficult to do a legacy transformation.  It could be equally daunting for a new start up if if the management inherits many legacies from their previous life.

In legacy organizations, there are little penghulus who act like some big time taikor. There are heads whose heads are bigger then the doors they go through to get to the position given to them. There are small time juragan or coxswain  who think themselves as a big time ship captain shouting I call the shot, refusing to listen to the real captain. There are also politicians whose interest is to remain popular as if his next raise is decided by the ballot box.

They will say that the Boss is hard headed and a despot whereas they are the ones  who refuse to temper their understanding  and failure to answer the why, why, why? It could also be due to  failures to articulate and present an argument to back their thoughts.

Ego? I have written on that subject previously.

The fact of the matter is that there are many visionary leaders who are made to fail by their trusted middle management. Leaders will have to recognize this and engage the organization.

It is enriching to find a successful organization being led by a a young lad who is willing to try new things and liberate himself from the conventional ways. It is also encouraging to share the same experience and challenges.
